Identity In Christ
You're who He says you are
About this teaching
Before you can fight the war within, you have to know who you are. This teaching lays the foundation: sons, not slaves. Free, not condemned. Chosen, not overlooked.

Scripture
Romans 8:15-17. Galatians 4:6-7. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
The foundation before the fight
You cannot win a war you are trying to earn your way into. Before God gives you a mission, He gives you a name. Son. Free. Chosen. Loved. Every lie the enemy tells you is an attempt to unseat that identity.
The three lies most men believe
- I am what I have done. (Shame)
- I am what other people say I am. (Reputation)
- I am what I can produce. (Performance)
What God says instead
- You're His son, not His slave. Romans 8:15.
- You're a new creation, not a patched-up old one. 2 Corinthians 5:17.
- You're seated with Christ, not scrambling for approval. Ephesians 2:6.
The daily posture
Preach the gospel to yourself before the world preaches a different one to you. Identity is not a feeling you wait for. It is a truth you rehearse.
Reflect
- Which of the three lies has the loudest voice in your head?
- Whose voice have you let define you that God never authorized?
- What would today look like if you actually believed you were a son?
