The War Within

Step 11 · ~30 min

Relationship with God

Communion · Communion & Mission

Overview

Warpath Step 11. We sought through prayer, meditation, and reflection to deepen our conscious contact with God, seeking wisdom, alignment with His will, and the strength to live it out.

Theme: Communion.

Key Scripture. "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." - John 15:4

What this step is about. Step 11 is the deepening of the friendship. Not information about God. Time with Him. Prayer that talks and listens. Scripture read slow enough for it to read you. Silence long enough that you can actually hear.

Why it matters. You will not outgrow your need for communion. Every relapse, every blowup, every quiet compromise starts with a man who stopped abiding. You cannot live off yesterday's fire. Jesus withdrew to lonely places to pray (Luke 5:16). If He needed it, you need it.

What Scripture says. Psalm 46:10 - be still and know that I am God. James 4:8 - draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Jeremiah 29:13 - you will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart. Communion is not a technique. It is a promise.

Warpath truth. Start small and consistent. Fifteen minutes a day beats a two-hour spike once a month. Put it on the calendar. Same time. Same chair. Bible open. Phone away. Talk. Listen. Write down what He is saying. This is where the roots go deep. Everything else grows from here.

Pray

Father, I want You more than I want anything You can give me. Deepen this friendship. I am not going anywhere. Speak. I am listening. Amen.

Sit with this

No wrong answers. Take your time. Answer honestly, out loud if you can.

  1. 01

What is your honest rhythm of prayer and Scripture right now - not the ideal, the actual?

  2. 02

Where do you sense God inviting deeper communion?

  3. 03

What would it look like to listen more than you speak this week?

Before you walk on

Today: put a fifteen-minute daily time with God on your calendar. Same time. Same place. Every day this week. Show up whether you feel it or not.
