The Holy Spirit

Theme: Presence.

Key Scripture. "The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." - John 14:26

What this step is about. The Holy Spirit is God - not a feeling, not a force, not an it. When you trusted Jesus, the Spirit came to live inside you. He is your Helper, your Teacher, your Comforter, your Convictor. Christianity was never meant to be lived on your own strength. It was meant to be lived with God in you.

Why it matters. If you try to walk this out in the flesh, you will fail. You will manage sin instead of killing it. You will fake love you do not feel. The Spirit is the difference between religion and life. He is how the character of Jesus starts to show up in a man who could not produce it on his own.

What Scripture says. Romans 8 says if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus lives in you, He will also give life to your mortal body. Galatians 5:22 lists the fruit He grows - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Acts 1:8 says you will receive power when the Spirit comes on you. That power is not for a show. It is for a life and a witness.

Warpath truth. You do not chase the Spirit like a high. You yield to Him like a son. Ask Him to fill you daily. Listen when He convicts. Move when He nudges. He will not shout over you. He will not force you. But He will lead you if you will follow.
